When it comes to traditional British humor, the first thing I think of is Benny Hill, then the Carry On series of films and Confessions of a Window Cleaner, starring Robin Askwith. It’s a bygone era that you definitely could not do in the modern era. They all objectivity women. It’s sexist and crass. But placed in the context of its time, it holds a certain charm. Like the silliness of the original Bond movies.The other thing I think of when I think of traditional British humor is “saucy” postcards. They were produced in the 60’s and always feature ridiculous, over sexed men and buxom women. Usually in some scenario that leads to innuendo.
